Your donation is a lifeline to the most vulnerable Syrian refugee and displaced families.
“I promise… the snow reached the windows. I started shovelling the snow that covered the tent. I don’t have anyone to help me and my husband is sick… He has only me after God.” 68-year-old Syrian refugee Shakiba, living in Lebanon.
2020 has been a difficult year for everyone, but it has been extremely challenging for refugee and displaced families. Far from their homes, often in challenging and uncertain circumstances, they are more vulnerable than ever.
The COVID-19 pandemic, economic downturn and other calamities have forced thousands of refugee and displaced families into extreme poverty. In Lebanon, 88% of refugee families now live in extreme poverty compared to 55% last year. In Jordan, this figure has increased to 81%.
Your kind donation today can help to provide shelter repairs, blankets and heaters ahead of winter, as well as winter survival funds so that families can afford heating, winter clothes, food and medicine for their children.
